    I want good governance.

I want a government to know the consequences at every decision they make.

Not like this type of decision of hiking up 30 sen and then gauging the Rakyat response.

All these reactions from the Rakyat can be prevented if we have Good Governance

LOL. Standard simpleton talk. “You don’t like it get out!”. HAHAHA. That’s what democracy is for. You don’t like it you try to convince people to change.

joko have you actually delved into the numbers? How the rise effect us across different layers of incomes? Why no subsidies mean good income? Tell me a government that does not provide subsidies, and I’ll back off.
(Before you get there free market America subsidises farmers and subsequentl foodstuffs)

    cheers

  22. Ju Lee Says:

I agree with oster, joko sounds like an uneducated imbecile.

Personally though I think before we protest about the fuel prices, we should look at the whole picture. Yes fuel prices in malaysia are low, and the government has done a good job subsidising it. Personally I can stomach the price hike of 30 sen.

What i cannot take though, is the never-ending over-taxation of foreign imported cars, that are of better build quality, safer, and more reliable. Instead we are forced to buy Proton, a lousy, underpowered, unsafe milo can that costs lives because of “national patriotism”.

I think that if we did away with these ridiculous price structures for cars, we’ll pay a lot less and don’t need to worry about the rm 0.30 sen hike.

And someone do something about the public transport in Malaysia! It’s royally bad.

    Idiot fuckerJoko!
Its not that Bumi’s don’t know how to survive la ngok! It’s because you don’t know the history of Malaysia. That’s the pure point. Learn why govenment are taking the point from DEB. (New Economic Policy)

Do you even know when the non-Bumis were first brought here by British Government, there is “Dasar Pecah & Perintah”?
Which means, at that time, the British meant to break the Bumi’s as the owner of the land, to abolish their rights and can’t fight them back.

They put the non-Bumi’s in the cities which has all the “lombong’s” and they build English school there. The non-Bumi’s were exposed to this school and the Bumi’s were left behind in the Kampungs not even being told there’s English school for them to obtain education.

Until 1960 (which is 20 years later), then only the English school is build in the small city where the Bumis started to be exposed. At that time (1940 to 1960) those who want to work with British government will need to be qualified from English school.

What the government now doing is to get that back into track for what is the Bumi was left behind during the British Government. And see what happened when the Bumi’s get their chances, i.e. education –> the best students as far as I am concern is s girl with 17A1 last year for SPM is a Bumi. and yet, among this year best student, 2 of them are Bumi in a chinese school who became their school best student.

Do not judge what happened in Malaysia by just looking back until the date you are born… look into this matter far and with an open mind.. it is even before the formation of Malaysia. You need to get back into the history.. cause a nation is build by their history!

Regarding the oil price hike… I am totally agree with RationalMalaysian and Joko.

    dear malaysians,

well there’s no point arguing here with swearing words..argue like a gentleman…be an educated person..not just argue like a barbarian..give some respects to others..give reasons of your point of view

in my opinion, the malaysian goverment has to follow the inflation of oil price in the world…it’s not malaysian government’s fault..everyone knows that the oil will be used up in the near future..low production and high demand automatically leads to inflation..it’s common sense..Saudi Arabia is the largest exporter of petroleum and plays a leading role in OPEC. Saudi Arabia is in possession of 260.1 billion barrels of oil reserves as of 2003, about 24% of the world’s proven total petroleum reserves. They control the oil price in the world..altho they agreed to produce more oil few months ago..the price is still going up..

im living in the United States and the oil price here is probably the most expensive oil in the world..it is more than RM200 for a full tank if you convert it to RM. The oil price keeps going up everyday..and it’s burning my wallet since i need to fill up my tank every week..

malaysians should be glad that the goverment is actually controlling the prices so that it won’t spike too fast..giving the citizens some time to adapt to the high oil price era..

unlike america, the oil price raised $1.35 per gallon since March..so it used to be $2.15 per gallon..and now it’s $3.50 per gallon..madness!!

i hope the car industry will come up with alternative fuels soon..for instance, hydrogen-powered and vege-oil engines..they should at least lower the price of hybrid cars to encourage the people to consume less oil before the introduction of hydrogen-powered engines to the world..it’s probably the best solution to the inflation..

however, citizens’ feelings should be expressed to let the government know that they are not happy with the inflation..certain level of demonstration is needed in every country..im proud that some malaysians have the gut and ambition to show their expressions to the government..and im certainly not happy with the censorship of media by the government…it’s like supressing the willingness of the citizens to express their feelings..

and as citizens of malaysians..we should stand up and raised our voice when it is necessary..dont let oligarchy happen in our country!!
